The Twentynine Palms High School boys’ soccer team traveled to Linfield Christian to take on Woodcrest Christian in the opening game of the Linfield Soccer boys’ tournament on Wednesday November 28. The Wildcats recorded their third win of the season to improve to 3 wins and no losses. Coach Nathan Niles said the entire team played great team defense and allowed no uncontested shots to Woodcrest shooters.
Junior Juan Duran recorded eight saves to bolster the defense. Junior captain Melvin Ballinas scored his second goal of the season on a free kick in the first half.
The team continues play on Thursday, November 29, in Temecula against the Lions of Linfield Christian, with kickoff at 4:30 p.m.
