The Twentynine Palms Boys soccer team lost a tight game on Tuesday night against the Indio Rajas in Twentynine Palms, 2-0.
Coach Nathan Niles said great team play and tight defense sparked the Wildcats throughout the game. The Wildcats had 12 shots on goal and many great opportunities. Senior Miguel Sosa had five shots and freshman Bryce Gussman had three shots. Keeper Juan Duran had six saves. The final score ended at 2-0.
The loss gives the varsity team a record of 10 wins and 10 losses. League play continues on Thursday at home against the Desert Mirage Rams. Junior varsity kicks off at 3:15 and varsity plays at 5 p.m.
