TWENTYNINE PALMS BOYS’ BASKETBALL TEAM LOSES

The Twentynine Palms boys’ basketball team traveled to Rancho Mirage on Wednesday and saw the varsity come home with a 77-67 loss. The junior varsity team won, 66-52.

Coach Michael Usher said varsity was led by senior Kam Luna with 16 points and  four rebounds, and Saiz Aguilar scored 16 points and made three steals. The Wildcats move to 1-3 on the season and play next on Friday against Calexico at Rancho Mirage High School.

Junior varsity was paced by freshman PJ Horn with 15 points and five steals, and Johnny Aguirre with 13 points and three rebounds.
