Boy Scout Troop 229 announces “open house” meetings throughout September. Troop 229 is sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Twentynine Palm. They meet every Wednesday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the Community Hall of Little Church of the Desert. Young men in grades 6 through 12 and their parents are invited to learn about Scouting at a September meeting. The troop maintains an active schedule of outdoor adventure and service.
