The Twentynine Palms animal shelter, Palms ‘n Paws, is housing more than 100 dogs and nearly 30 cats, all waiting to be claimed by their owners or to be adopted by new owners. The Twentynine Palms animal shelter, Palms ‘n Paws, is holding its third annual “Jingle Paws” food drive for its shelter animals. The food drive begins today and runs through December 31. The shelter needs bags of dry dog and cat food, canned pet food, and packaged animal treats. Donations can be dropped off at the Palms ‘n Paws Animal Shelter, 7086 Bullion Avenue, the Twentynine Palms VCA Animal Hospital, 70513 Twentynine Palms Highway, or at the Heart to Heart Pet Store, 73515 Twentynine Palms Highway in Twentynine Palms. The shelter is open to receive donations Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
