The Ladycats played the Trojans of Yucca Valley last night. In JV action, the Ladycats lost in 3 sets.
The cats started strong winning the first set 25-13 but came up short in the second and third set losing 21-25 and 11-15. Mariah Coriaarmenta served up six aces and had one kill. Lily Romero Gonzalez put down four kills and Hailey Stephenson served up five aces and had three assists. Anisa Youso had two ace serves, 2 kills, and 1 assist.
The varsity Ladycats beat the Trojans in 4 sets. The cats dominated the first set winning 25-7, dropped the second set 19-25 and won the third 25-17 and the fourth 25-21. Senior Kyla Palpallatoc lead the cats with 12 kills, had 2 ace serves, 4 assists and 8 digs. Junior Lindie Stewart put down 11 kills, had 4 ace serves and 10 digs. Junior Jenica Silvas had 4 kills, 3 ace served, 7 digs and 16 assists. Freshman Berlyn McCormick served 22 times with no errors.
The cats are now 5-2 in league and host the eagles of Banning on Thursday where they will honoring their seniors.
