A Twentynine Palms man was arrested Saturday, accused of indecent exposure inside a retail store. Deputies were called about 2 p.m. to the store in the 72600 block of Highway 62 in Twentynine Palms because a man was committing a lewd act in the store. The store manager asked the man to leave, and as he did so, took a photo of the vehicle he was driving. Deputies determined the car belonged to John Steiner, 68, and went to his home in the 2500 block of Meldora Avenue. The deputy’s report states that Steiner was violating the terms of his sex offender registration. After an investigation, John Steiner was arrested on suspicion of indecent exposure, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $25,000.
