A crowd-favorite piece of Morongo Basin entertainment history is coming to Theatre 29 for the 2020 season, and you can be part of it. Theatre 29 is holding auditions for Ben Costello’s “Company B – On the Air!”, a musical/comedy revue. Auditions will be held at Theatre 29 at 73637 Sullivan Road, Twentynine Palms, this Monday, November 25, at 7 pm. Costello is seeking a cast of 20 singers and actors for this tribute to the golden age of radio and USO short film productions. Comedic roles are available, as well as the radio announcer/host. Singers will be featured in the style of Frank Sinatra, Kate Smith, Bing Crosby, the Andrew Sisters, Peggy Lee, to name a few. Swing dancers and tap dancers are encouraged to audition as well. Come prepared to confidently sing 16 bars of a swing or pop tune, bring a non-vocal backing track on your mobile device. “Company B – On the Air!” will run for two weekends only, running January 10-13, and January 17-19, 2020.
