TRUCKERS JOB ACTION RESULTS IN PRODUCE SHORTAGE

Some Morongo Basin grocery shoppers may have found some half-empty shelves in the produce department this week. The drivers hauling refrigerated trucks did not make some deliveries this week, as they are attempting to negotiate new contracts. This left some produce bins empty, and others seriously low. Employees at two Stater Brothers stores said they expect deliveries to resume today.
