Tonight is Troy’s Amore Dinner at the Joshua Tree VFW Post 7264. Troy says he simmers his sauce for several hours and serves it over spaghetti noodles alongside Caesar salad, garlic bread, and a glass of red wine. Ice cream is for dessert.
The VFW is a non-profit that assists local veterans and provides services to the community, and much of their funding comes from food events like Troy’s Amore Dinner. All meals are open to the public, and patrons have access to the full bar serving beer, liquor and wine.
Troy’s Amore Dinner is from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and is $15. The VFW is located at 6402 Veterans Way in Joshua Tree.
