Wednesday night the Yucca Valley High School Trojan Wrestlers beat Cathedral City 48-27.
Coach Larry Giron said winning big matches for the Trojans were Chris Davis, Seth Holmes, Ulysses Gamboa, Chase Sperry, Henry Soto and Onkar Sandhu.
Fastest pin of the night was off a speedy and intense attack from Ulysses Gamboa, which ended in a pin in 20 seconds.
For the girls, Carah Takahashi pinned her opponent and won one for the girls’ wrestling team.
This is the third win in a row for the wrestling team on the road. Next up for the Trojans is Desert Mirage at home on January 9.
