TROJAN TRACK AND FIELD HOLDS STRONG AGAINST WILDCATS

The Yucca Valley High School Trojan Track and Field team continues to improve each week. Last week the girls’ team did their best against Twentynine Palms High School but were missing a few of their leading scorers in the sprints and hurdles ending with the Wildcat’s 66 points to the Trojan’s 21 points. The Lady Trojans’ points came mostly in the shot put and discus from Zyn Ferrer and Molly Brown.

The boys’ team was able to pull off their first win this season against the Wildcats, ending with 55 points to dominate the Wildcat’s 47 points. The boys took first, second, and third in the 1600m (1 mile) and the long jump. Stephon Rogers continues to run under 11 seconds in the 100m, taking first in the 100m and 200m. David Gutierrez placed first in the 1600m and second in the long jump. Austin Dickens placed first in the shot put and second in the discus.
