TROJAN TRACK AND FIELD BATTLES DESERT MIRAGE

The Yucca Valley High School Track Team continues to improve each week. Last week, the girls team did their best against Desert Mirage’s 60 points to Yucca Valley’s 38 points. The Lady Trojans points came mostly in the distance running events and sprints from Ariel Maya and Cristynn Venezia. The boys’ team was able to pull off their second win this season against Desert Mirage school ending with Desert Mirage’s 55 points to the Trojan’s 69 points. The boys taking first, second, and third in the 100m. Mario Rabanales first in the 100m and 200m. David Gutierrez taking first in the long and second in the High jump. Austin Dickens taking first in shot put and Discus. This Thursday (April 14), the Trojans have their last dual meet at Desert Hot Springs High School and April 28 is the date for League finals, which will be at Banning High School.
