The Yucca Valley girls’ varsity tennis team beat Indio 16-2.
All the girls played really well. In singles, Abby Aubuchon went 7-5, 6-1, 6-0; McKayla Henry went 6-7 (4-7), 6-2, 6-0; Eden Ricketts went 5-7, 6-1, 6-1.
In doubles, Mckenzi Monical and Rylie Rohr went 6-0, 6-1, 6-0. Alex Costa and Jayda Henry scored 6-3, 6-3, 6-1, and Rachelle Henriquez and Kennia Torres went 6-2, 6-2, 6-1.
Mckenzi Monical and Rylie Rohr continued their winning streak.
Coach Cindy Miller said, “The whole team played great. The team is now 9-1 in league. Abby did really well today. She beat their number one singles this time around.”
Up next will be Desert Hot Springs on Tuesday at Desert Hot Spring. Game time is 3:15.
