TROJAN SOCCER FALLS TO DESERT MIRAGE

The Yucca Valley High School boys’ soccer team hosted Desert Mirage High School at Trojan Field yesterday (January 19), suffering tough losses. Junior Varsity lost 7 to 0 as the team was shorthanded. Coach Rodriguez said that the guys put in a great effort and never gave up. The player of the match was Sophomore Goalkeeper JT Alexander with 16 saves.

Varsity fell 10 to 1, with their only goal scored by Senior midfielder Sebastian Hill with an assist from Senior Logan Barth. The player of the match was Senior and Captain Goalkeeper Landon Gradilla with 22 saves. The Trojan Boys played hard until the final whistle, never gave up, and always leave it all on the field.

Up next for the Trojan soccer team is a Friday (January 21) match-up at Desert Hot Springs High School at 5 p.m.
