TROJAN SINGLES BOYS’ TENNIS TEAMS DEFEAT WILDCATS; LADYCAT TENNIS TEAMS SHUT OUT TROJANS

The Twentynine Palms High School boys’ and girls’ varsity tennis teams hosted the Yucca Valley Trojans Monday. The Wildcat boys lost to the Trojans 8 to 1 while the Ladycats swept the Lady Trojans 9 to 0. Coach Bill Shay said both teams are now at 5-1 in league standings.
In doubles action the Wildcat Boys double team of Troy Silva/Titus Bosch beat the Trojans.
In singles, Mariah Banerjee, Madi Soster, Makenna Whitfield, Natalia Henry, Danesa Rife, and Natalie Plummer each won.
In doubles action, the Ladycat double teams of Mariah Bannerjje/Madi Soster, Emily Stuckey/Isabel Plummer, and Anaid Montero/Makenna Whitfield each won their doubles match.

The Wildcats host  Desert Hot Springs on Wednesday.
