The Yucca Valley High School boys’ varsity soccer played an away league game at Cathedral City. Varsity lost 6-0.
Jorge Rodriguez said, “Our Trojan boys played a very good team tonight. Our entire defensive line and goal keepers played very hard tonight, but came up short.”
Junior midfielder Truman Powell was named player of the game.
Junior varsity lost 5 to 0. Coach Adan Mendoza said the team played better than the final score reflects. Player of the game is freshman defender Griffin Hildebrand, who is the leader of the defense. The next game is at home versus Desert Mirage High School on Thursday at 3:15 and 5 p.m.
