Yucca Valley High School boys’ varsity basketball team lost to Cathedral City on a last-second shot by Cathedral City, 59-61.
Stand-out players were Jr. Rodriguez, 21 points, five rebounds; Braden Brimhall had 10 points and five rebounds; and Greg Sanchez, seven points and three steals.
Junior varsity won 57-48. Top scorers were Jacob Rideout, 12 points and 11 rebounds; Cole Davis who scored nine points; and Jehu Jimenez with 8 points and four assists.
The frosh-soph team also won 57-52. Stand-out players were Demar Smith with 17 points and four rebounds; Evan Wilson made 17 points and five rebounds; and Emmet Kelley with nine points and three steals.
