TROJAN BOYS’ JUNIOR VARSITY SOCCER TIES, 0-0, IN NAIL-BITER

The junior varsity team held its ground, ending a nail-biting game with a tie, 0-0.

Junior varsity head coach Adan Mendoza was pleased with the results.

“We went in knowing it was going to be a tough game, but at the end of the day, Desert Hot Springs just couldn’t make it past our defense, who kept composure and a tight line.”

Mendoza praised the team for remaining firm, with 15 off-sides called in favor of Yucca Valley High School. Player of the game was sophomore defense Joseph Rapazzo, who impressed with his ability to keep a strong performance throughout the entire game.

“You could tell this guy gave his all—blood, sweat and tears,” Mendoza said.
