In local sports, the Yucca Valley High School boys’ basketball team hosted the Victor Valley Jackrabbits Tuesday night in Trojan gym. All three teams fell to some very athletic Victor Valley teams. Varsity lost 95-46, junior varsity lost 57-25, the frosh-soph team lost 64-28.
In varsity, Elijah Roy scored 16 points, shooting 71 percent from the field. Luke Yakimow made eight points with three rebounds. Noah Roy had seven points and two rebounds.
For the junior varsity team, Demar Smith scored 12 points and had three steals. Tua Kakalia had six points and two rebounds. Kaden Bailey made four points.
For the frosh-soph team, Riley Ferrick scored 12 points with 10 rebounds. Landon Stitt had six points, five rebounds and two steals. Rider VanHulten- mad four points and eight rebounds.
