In high school sports, the Yucca Valley High School Trojans baseball team went on the road to play Rolling Hills Prep in the first round of the CIF playoffs Thursday, winning with a final score of 7-3.
Coach Josh Griswald said Senior Brandon Goodpaster was dominant again today pitching six shutout innings and the Trojans played their best game all year, offensively and defensively, winning with a final score of 7-3. Standouts offensively were senior Clay Smith, Junior Braden Brimhall, and sophomores Noah Morones and Seth Snead. Next Tuesday, the Trojans host the Rialto Knights at Trojans field at 3:15.
