Friday, the Yucca Valley Trojans baseball team completed the season sweep against Banning with a 5-2 road win.

Coach Josh Griswold said junior Jesse Meza pitched a complete game, striking out five batters while only allowing one earned run. The Trojans trailed most of the game 2-0 until the top of the sixth when senior Clay Smith scored the tying run on a two-run single by senior Brandon Goodpaster. Senior Andy Davis then came up with a clutch two-run double to put the Trojans ahead 4-2. Meza then drove in an insurance run in the top of the seventh to round out the scoring.
