The Tri-Valley All-Stars girls’ softball team won the Section 9 championship yesterday in Yucca Valley. The team, comprised of the top 9- and 10-year-old players from the four teams of the regular season, dominated their opponents from Jurupa, winning 25 to 4. The Yucca Valley Tri-Valley All-Stars took the District championship last weekend from Twentynine Palms. The girls—Gracie Nelson, Shannon Batts, Montana Rowe-Etter, Katie Alexander, Max Wheeler, Brianna Etter, Malia Rodriguez, Chanel Alderson, Paige Van Hulten, Faith Dudra, and Malia Chandler—are coached by Leon Belden and Kathy Brandon, and managed by Joey Etter.
