It just wouldn’t be Christmas in Twentynine Palms without the tree lighting ceremony and the light parade. Managing editor Tami Roleff has your invitation…
The holidays in Twentynine Palms officially get underway Tuesday, December 5 with the annual tree lighting ceremony at Veterans Park, next to City Hall. The festivities start at 5:30 with a welcome by the mayor, followed by Christmas carols and the lighting of the tree. Santa will arrive on a fire truck to pass out candy canes. The tree lighting ceremony will be followed by the 20th annual light parade. The parade will start at 6:45 p.m. at Joshua Drive and Adobe Road and travel north on Adobe Road to Sun Valley Drive.
