Traveling Painter Dominique Bass-Terpstra opens show at Spaghetti Western tonight (3/7)

If you’re interested in the intersection of UFOs and the hi-desert, you’ll want to beam yourself to Spaghetti Western for a new art show from a local artist. Dominique Bass-Terpstra, also known as the “Traveling Painter,” depicts local landscapes and extraterrestrials in cowboy garb. Bass-Terpstra is a Joshua Tree-based artist, and has been working in Plein air for more than two decades. You may know her work from her recent public mural in the Village in downtown Joshua Tree.

Now she brings her art to Morongo Valley. Spaghetti Western is hosting a new show of her work at their gallery space. They are holding an opening reception featuring the artist Saturday night from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Spaghetti Western is located at 50048 Twentynine Palms Highway in Morongo Valley. If you miss the opening tonight, the show will be up through April 26.
