TRAFFIC STOP RESULTS IN YET ANOTHER ARREST FOR A YUCCA VALLEY MAN

A Yucca Valley man with an extensive criminal history was arrested again Wednesday following a traffic stop. About 2:30 p.m., a deputy stopped a car driven by Joseph Desjardins, 32, at Sage Avenue and Highway 62 in Yucca Valley, for having an expired registration tag. The deputy determined that Desjardins was on felony probation, and searched Desjardins and the vehicle. The deputy found metal knuckles and a needle with suspected methamphetamine. Joseph Desjardins was arrested for investigation of possession of a dangerous weapon, booked into the West Valley Detention Center, with his bail set at $25,000. Another male in the car who also had methamphetamine on his person was booked into jail, cited and released.
