TRAFFIC STOP RESULTS IN TWO ARRESTS IN TWENTYNINE PALMS

Two Twentynine Palms residents were arrested Thursday following a traffic stop after drugs were found in their vehicle. About 10:45 Thursday morning, a deputy stopped a car near the Stater Brothers in Twentynine Palms for not having a visible license plate. Inside the car were Roy Jonas, 32, and Rosa Holbert, 32, who was on felony probation. According to a Sheriff’s report, the deputy determined that Jonas and Holbert were under the influence of a controlled substance, and that Holbert was in contempt of court. Roy Jonas and Rosa Holbert were arrested for investigation of being under the influence of a controlled substance, and are being held at the West Valley Detention Center with no bail.
