TRAFFIC STOP LEADS TO AN ARREST FOR BURGLARY

A Landers man was arrested Thursday, October 29, for burglary following a traffic stop in Yucca Valley. At approximately 5:30 p.m., Deputies were patrolling an area near Crestview Dr. and Sunburst St. in Yucca Valley when they spotted a vehicle driving with no license plates. Deputies conducted a traffic stop and contacted the driver, Robert Jones, 36 of Landers. During the stop, Deputies determined that Jones was a wanted suspect in several residential burglaries in the Morongo Basin. Jones was detained, later interviewed, and reportedly admitted to all the burglaries. Robert Jones was arrested for investigation of burglary and was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail with his bail set at $25,000.
