Traffic stop in Twentynine Palms leads to suspected drug and firearm posession arrest

During a traffic stop in Twentynine Palms, a man was arrested for investigation into being under the influence of a controlled substance while in possession of a firearm.

On Wednesday April 9 just before 9 p.m., San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for code violations near the intersection of Adobe Road and Desert Dune Drive in Twentynine Palms. Deputies say that the driver of the car, identified as Gordon Farmer, 66, consented to a search of the car and that they discovered a .22 caliber pistol hidden under the drivers seat.

Gordon Farmer was arrested for investigation into being under the influence of a controlled substance while in possession of a firearm. He was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail and has since been released on bail.
