A change in traffic is upon the Morongo Basin. On the West end of the basin, sweeping operations will take place eastbound and westbound on Highway 62 from Hess Boulevard in Morongo Valley to Pinon Drive in Yucca Valley. This will be a “moving” shoulder closure and will include the sweeping of intersections. This operation will take place today (March 29) and tomorrow (March 30) from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m., weather permitting.
In Twentynine Palms, crews will perform shoulder grading operations on Highway 62. Shoulder work will take place eastbound and westbound on Highway 62 from Via Allegra to just west of Thunder Road. Shoulder closures will take place throughout the operation with traffic control on scene. This operation will also take place today (March 29) and tomorrow (March 30) from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m., weather permitting.
