Two Landers-area men were injured in a crash in Landers Wednesday morning. According to the California Highway Patrol, Harry Dennis, 78, was driving a 2011 Ford Ranger westbound at the intersection of Reche Road and Old Woman Springs Road about 10 a.m. Dennis pulled out and made a left turn onto southbound OWS directly in the path of a 1994 Dodge Ram 1500, driven by James Dejulio, 61, who was driving northbound on Old Woman Springs Road. Dejulio attempted to avoid crashing into Dennis and braked and swerved to the left, but the two vehicles collided nearly head on. Harry Dennis’s injuries were characterized as major; James Dejulio suffered moderate injuries. Paramedics said both men were transported by ambulance to Desert Hospital in Palm Springs.
