TPHS VOLLEYBALL WINS WILDCARD; 1ST ROUND CIF TODAY

The Twentynine Palms High School Ladycats’ volleyball team hosted the Tigers from Ramona Convent for their CIF Wildcard game Tuesday (October 19) and won in 4 sets: 25-18,25-22, 22-25, and 25-19. 

Senior Alana Gutierrez and Junior Itzel Solorio defended the back court with 15 digs combined. Junior Gabby Wunderlee and Senior Mya Bullion were big at the net with their solo blocks and 7 kills.  Senior Hailee Jenkins covered the left side with 11 digs while Leah Engesseer covered the front middle with 8 kills. Sophomore Kyla Palpallatoc lead the team with 9 kills and had 4 assists.  Senior Setter Kaelina Palpallatoc had 1 kill, 1 block and 12 assists and our Freshman setter Jenica Silvas had 1 kill, 2 ace serves, 5 digs, and 16 assists for the night. Senior Mya Chacon had 1 ace serve, 7 kills and defended the back court with 19 digs.


The Ladycats travel to Temecula prep today (October 21) for their 1st round CIF game.
