TPHS GIRLS VOLLEYBALL ENDS SEASON IN TEMECULA

The Twentynine Palms High School Ladycats volleyball traveled to Temecula Prep Thursday (October 21) to take on the 5th ranking team in division 8.  The ladycats fought until the end but came up short for the win; 20-25, 21-25, and 23-25.

Mya Bullion and Leah Engesser were big at the net with 10 touches each, and 2 blocks. Gabby Wunderlee and N’Taiya Youso had 4 kills from the left side.  Our senior setter Kaelina Palpallatoc had 2 blocks, 2 digs, and 10 assists.  Our freshman setter, Jenica Silvas, had 8 digs and 7 assists.  Our libero Alana Gutierrez had one ace serve and held the back court with 10 digs. Mya Chacon was big at the net with 6 kills and defend the back left side with 10 digs. Hailee Jenkins served up 14 hard serves earning 2 aces, had one kill and 4 digs for the night.  Kyla Palpallatoc was big at the net with 6 kills.  Kyla served 19 serves that helped the Cats take a lead in the third, she earned 2 aces from them and also had 6 digs.

Coach McGivern said, “I am so proud of this team; they worked hard until the very end and never gave up.  To all the seniors, best of luck on your next endeavors.  We will miss you all.  Thank you to all the parents, staff, and community for their support.”
