TPHS BASKETBALL BEATS BANNING BRONCOS

The Twentynine Palms High School Boys Basketball teams hosted the Banning Broncos in a Desert Valley League matchup Friday (January 7), with Junior Varsity winning 69-21, and Varsity winning 63-29.

JV was led by Brandon Evans who exploded for 28 points, including 20 in the first half. Jaidan Booker chipped in 16 and Rory Morning had 13.

Varsity led 14-11 after one but used a 15-0 second-quarter defensive effort to stretch the lead to 29-11 at the half, en route to a 63-29 victory. Junior PJ Horn scored 14 points and grabbed 7 rebounds through 3 quarters, as the Wildcats rode a balanced attack to the win.

The Wildcats are scheduled to travel to Yucca Valley High School on Wednesday (January 12) in a battle of Desert Valley League contenders.
