Last months’ “Toys for 29” Golf Tournament collected toys for local kids and now the City of Twentynine Palms will be distributing those toys tomorrow. Reporter Heather Clisby has details…
Sponsored by Twentynine Palms then-Mayor Joel Klink and then-Mayor Pro Tem Daniel Mintz, the “Toys for 29” Golf Tournament required a donated toy as an entry fee. Held at the Roadrunner Dunes Golf Course, the November event resulted in a Santa-worthy haul of toys that will be distributed to Twentynine Palms families in need on Thursday, December 17, from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. at Luckie Park.
This will be a drive-through event and recipients will be asked to enter from Two Mile Road and exit at Joe Davis Drive. Proof of Twentynine Palms residency is required to receive toys.
