Town of Yucca Valley Holiday hours and closures

The town of Yucca Valley has announced their holiday hours for public and government services. 

Beginning Friday December 22nd town offices will be closed until Tuesday January 2nd.

That also includes the Hi-Desert Nature Museum and Youth Basketball practice.

Other services like the Animal Shelter, Animal Control, and the Senior Center also have modified hours. See the full list below:

Building and Safety Counter

Counter will be closed December 22nd thru January 1st.
Inspections will be available December 27, 28, and 29. Schedule an inspection during this time by calling (760) 365-1339.
Regular building and safety services will resume on Tuesday, January 2nd.

Recreation – Youth Basketball

Youth Basketball practices resume on Tuesday, January 2nd.

Hi-Desert Nature Museum

Closed to visitors Friday, December 22nd thru Tuesday, January 2nd.
Re-opening on Wednesday, January 3rd.

Yucca Valley Animal Shelter

Available by appointment only beginning Sunday, December 24th, only for pet owners to retrieve impounded animals. Please contact the Shelter at (760) 365-3111 extension 105 to arrange a meeting time to pick up your pet or to leave a message for a lost or found pet. Shelter staff will return calls each day between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. The Animal Shelter provides kennel runs for anyone who has found a stray pet and wishes to drop off the pet on their own.

Normal business hours will resume on Tuesday, January 2nd.

Yucca Valley Animal Control Services (field operations)

Responding to priority calls only beginning Saturday, December 23rd. Those requiring emergency animal assistance during this time may call San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department dispatch at 760-365-2364.

Yucca Valley Senior Center

Senior Center offices and programming will be closed from 12:30 p.m., Thursday, December 21st thru Monday, January 1st.
Family Services Association will serve senior lunches on December 26 – 28. 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m
