Morongo Valley’s proposed fire tax will be the topic of discussion at a special, town hall type meeting of the Morongo Valley Community Services District. The community is invited to the question and answer format meeting at 10 a.m. this Saturday, March 12, in the Community Building’s Multipurpose Room on the edge of Covington Park in Morongo Valley. The district has proposed a flat $350 annual per parcel fire fee to keep the Fire Department there operational at current service levels. Voters will have an opportunity to vote on the proposal in the June 7 presidential primary.
