The Twentynine Palms City Council starts its 6 p.m. April 22 meeting with four presentations: to Joshua Tree National Park Superintendent Mark Butler upon his retirement; the Desert Regional Tourism Agency Quarterly Report for the California Welcome Center; the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s HOPE program for the Homeless; and an update by City Attorney Patrick Munoz on Project Phoenix. Three discussions follow: rolling stock inventory and rolling stock replacement schedule; the purchase of sign making equipment and approval of the City’s way-finding and street sign program; and a review of the Capital Improvement Program. At the end of the evening, the Council will go into closed session, as the Successor Agency to the Dissolved Redevelopment Agency, to discuss litigation against the state Department of Finance. The meeting takes place in Council Chambers at City Hall.
