Tender Loving Christmas has provided meals for thousands of Morongo Basin residents who don’t want to spend Christmas alone. For various reasons, Tender Loving Christmas hasn’t been able to hold its usual sales and events to raise funds for its annual Christmas dinner to feed 3,200 people. So it’s joined with a local restaurant to hold a fundraiser dinner. “Las Palmas in Yucca Valley is going to do a special dinner buffet, for $25 per person.”
The event will be from 4 to 9 p.m. at the Yucca Valley restaurant, but diners don’t have to stay the entire five hours, although there will be two silent auctions to tempt them.
“We have some lovely artwork, and we have some nice gifts from some of the businesses, and then others have donated some memorabilia and collectibles.” There will be entertainment too.
“And we are going to have live entertainment all evening. People who perform in Vegas, and down in Palm Springs, and they’re going to do some skits and we’ll have some music, too.”
