Taking a few preventative measures can help keep your car safe from burglars and thieves. Keep your doors locked and windows closed whenever you leave your vehicle. Do not leave your keys in your vehicle and avoid keeping a spare key nearby. Try to park in well-lit areas and avoid leaving valuables in your vehicle. If you must leave valuables behind, place them out of site of anyone walking by. Last but not least, be alert and aware of your surroundings when you park your car. If you are wary of the safety of your car, it may be best to park somewhere else. If your vehicle is burglarized or stolen, contact law enforcement immediately.
