Grubstake Days are coming to Yucca Valley May 24 through 27. One of the fun and traditional events is the tug o’ war competition. Grubstake Days organizers are searching for teams for the tug of war competition. Cash prizes of $300 and $200 will be awarded to the first- and second-place teams. There is a 1,500 pound weight limit per team. The event will be held on the carnival grounds at the corner of Highway 62 and Hilton Avenue on Saturday, May 25, with the finals continuing at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, May 26.
