Tickets are available for a celebration of Reach Out Morongo Basin’s 15th Anniversary. The celebration will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, June 15, in Friendship Hall at the Joshua Tree Retreat Center, formerly Mentalphysics, 59700 Twentynine Palms Highway. Tickets are $30 each, $50 for two or $200 for a table of eight. They are available from Reach Out Morongo Basin board members or at the Twentynine Palms or Yucca Valley senior center offices or Reach Out Morongo Basin. Tickets will also be available at The Desert Trail, 63996 Adobe Road and offices of the Twentynine Palms and Yucca Valley Chambers of Commerce and ArtFX in Yucca Valley. The evening will include live music by The Luminators, a silent auction and beer and wine. The organization, originally called Reach Out 29 when it was formed in 1998, designed as an interfaith volunteer caregiving program to fill in the service gaps of traditional paid government and private providers. Now serving the entire Morongo Basin with offices in Twentynine Palms and Yucca Valley, Reach Out Morongo Basin logs more than 10,000 hours of volunteer service, drives over 50,000 miles and serves almost 700 seniors annually with services running the gamut from friendly visits to transportation to doctor’s appointments.
