THREE PEOPLE INJURED IN TWO SEPARATE CRASHES SUNDAY

Area firefighters responded to two separate crashes Sunday. About 2:30 p.m., a motorcycle rider in the park was involved in a single-vehicle crash
on Utah Trail inside the park. He was flown to Desert Hospital in Palm Springs with significant injuries. Then about 4 p.m., firefighters from Twentynine Palms and Wonder Valley responded to a two-vehicle crash at Old Chisholm Trail and Shoshone Valley Road. County Fire Battalion Chief Mike Snow said that the California Highway Patrol and Morongo Basin Ambulance were already there when they arrived. The two patients had serious injuries and were flown to Desert Hospital in Palm Springs. The CHP is investigating.
