Out of abundance of caution, local events have been cancelled. the Death Café originally scheduled for 6 to 8 p.m. tonight (Thursday, March 12), at the Joshua Tree Retreat Center’s Friendship Hall, has been cancelled. The monthly meeting of the Democrats of the Morongo Basin, set for Saturday at Bruce’s Coyote Kitchen, as been cancelled out of safety concerns. Sky’s the Limit Observatory and Nature Center in Twentynine Palms is cancelling all public events scheduled for March 14 and 21. Check back with the observatory as it evaluates the situation for later events.
