THREE INJURED, ONE ARREST, IN TWENTYNINE PALMS STABBING

Three men were stabbed during an argument in Twentynine Palms Friday night, and the suspected assailant was arrested the next day. According to a Sheriff’s report, Steven Perez, 24, was arguing with the men in the 6600 block of Desert Queen Avenue in Twentynine Palms shortly before 11:30 p.m. Friday night. One man was stabbed twice in his abdomen, and was taken to Desert Hospital in Palm Springs. The second man was stabbed in his wrist and the third man was stabbed in his bicep. They were both treated at Hi-Desert Medical Center. The three victims identified Perez as their assailant. Deputies located Steven Perez about 7 a.m. near Utah Trail and Amboy Road and arrested him for investigation of assault with a deadly weapon, and for violation of his parole, booked him into the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $50,000.
