A three-vehicle pileup in Twentynine Palms on Monday sent two people to the hospital with minor injuries according to a Sheriff’s report. Just after 3 p.m. Monday afternoon, a commuter headed southbound on Adobe Road told sheriff investigators that he “felt himself blackout” as he approached traffic stopped at the traffic signal at Highway 62. The vehicle crashed into the rear of an SUV which had a rear-mounted wheelchair carrier with chair. The impact pushed the SUV into the rear of a four-door pickup also stopped at the intersection. Paramedics from the Combat Center responded to the accident. The driver of the first vehicle and passenger from the middle vehicle both complained of pain and were transported to Hi-Desert Medical Center as a precaution.
