THREE ARRESTED AFTER ATTEMPT TO STEAL BIG TICKET ITEMS FROM WAL-MART

Three men were arrested Thursday morning, accused of attempting to steal thousands of dollars of merchandise from the Yucca Valley Wal-Mart. According to a Sheriff’s Department press release, about 9:30 Thursday morning, Wal-Mart’s Loss Prevention associates observed Bryan Earnhart, 25, of Menifee, and Joseph Mascola, 27, of Wildomar, stealing about $2,000 in electronics equipment, while a third man, Joshua Dunn, 23, of Riverside, waited outside with a getaway car. Deputies took Dunn and Earnhart into custody as Earnhart attempted to get into the suspect vehicle to flee. Mascola was taken into custody as he attempted to exit the store and flee on foot. Investigation later showed that the suspects had altered the vehicle’s license plates with black tape to change the digits of the plate in an apparent effort to make the vehicle unidentifiable. Bryan Earnhart, Joshua Dunn, and Joseph Mascola were arrested for investigation of commercial burglary, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with their bail set at $25,000 each.
