Thought Theatre will present the classic Sam Shepard drama, “A Particle of Dread (Oedipus Variations)” at the Twentynine Palms Elks Lodge. With all the details, here’s Rebecca Havely…
“A Particle of Dread” is loosely based on the Greek tragedy, “Oedipus Rex.” The play is set in ancient Greece as well as in modern day California Hi Desert. The ensemble cast includes Ann Van Haney, Doran Ray, Lindsey Andersen, Kevin Hayles, Sue Neals, Katherine Wehler, and Kurt Schauppner, and is directed by Miri Hunter. Performances are October 25-27 at 7 p.m. at the Elks Lodge in Twentynine Palms. Doors open at 6 p.m. so you may enjoy seasonal snacks and drinks in the lounge at the no-host bar. Stay after and mingle with the cast and crew. A final performance is set for 4 p.m. Sunday, October 28, at the Wonder Valley Community Center.
