The first weekend in March the Palms Baptist Church will host a “Thirsty Soul” Women’s Conference featuring worship, live music, food, raffles, and a guest speaker. Open to all women 13 years and older, the event will kick off with a dessert social on Friday, March 1, at 6 p.m. The event will resume on Saturday, March 2, with a continental breakfast at 9 a.m. Lunch from Dickey’s BBQ will be provided to attendees before the conference concludes at 2 p.m. No on-site childcare will be provided. Featured speaker Katie Hawkins will offer insight on putting one’s hope in God. Tickets for both days are $30 and the deadline to purchase is Sunday, February 24. Friday-only tickets are $20 and Saturday-only tickets are $25.
