THIRD SUSPECT ARRESTED IN TWENTYNINE PALMS DRIVE-BY SHOOTING

A third suspect has been arrested in a case of a drive-by shooting last month in Twentynine Palms. Corey Harris, 20, of Twentynine Palms, was arrested about 6:30 p.m. Monday at his home in the 6500 block of Oasis Avenue. Investigators say that on September 6, the victim had an argument with Joshua Hill, 18, about Hill’s driving. Hill left but returned about 10 minutes later with Branden Smith, 18, and Harris. Hill challenged the victim to a fight, and when the victim refused, investigators say that Hill fired eight shots at him, two of which hit the house. Hill, Smith, and Harris then fled. Corey Harris was arrested for investigation of attempted murder, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $1 million.
